  Hard to believe a green, grassy slope like this actually summits at 13-14k feet!  Mayela distant in a high mountain meadow with a lot of growth.   We've gained a lot of altitude! Coming around the bend into the final series of high meadows before the first pass.   Everything's super green, even though we're above 11,000 feet.  A view back down the trail at the valley where we came from.
