  Avalance lake, with the Snowball lakes in the background. This is where we've camped on two other trips into this area.  At 1:00pm, the weather started moving in.   More cool wildflowers, near the ridge on Tempest.   Mayela coming up the path to the Tempest pass, at 12,100 feet. The side of Granite Peak is in the background.  Passing the last shelter on the way to climb Granite, and crossing the "wasteland" toward our campsite.
