May 2005: Sunset Lookout

  Skip a lot ... after the road was 100% snowed in (3.5 miles up), we started hiking straight uphill, until we came within sight of the lookout.  Mayela coming over the top of the ridge.   Here we are: Sunset Lookout, 7869 feet.   Mayela with part of the surrounding terrain (Boise National Forest?) behind her. Looking roughly NE.  Another view looking due East, with Mayela and my shadow. The view up here was incredible.
