  Here we begin to delve deep into the forest. The trees were easily over one hundred feet tall at this point! Mayela is a speck in the distance.  Crossing the Salmo river. Probably one of the most difficult crossings to date, if one is trying to keep dry.   Another shot of the Salmo river crossing.   Extremely zoomed-in shot of a building we saw on a moderately distant peak while setting up camp the first night.  Dusk at the campsite with a great view.
