  We're on the way up. Just a few hundred feet up the side of Castle Peak. Lots of loose stuff.  This is where we're headed. The picture was taken at a near-vertical angle, but it doesn't do it justice.   Looking back over where we've come thus far.   You can tell it's quite steep, and pretty loose stuff.  OK, here's the "Y" that we're headed to. Just a few minutes after this, it started raining and hailing on us, for about 20 minutes.
