  Hard to see, but these trees looked like a stock-tie area for the old miners.  View of the Hyndman Creek crossing, and the (barely visible) old mining trail which heads up to Big Basin.   View to the left of the last shot.   View further left, including the "stock tie" area.  Some really wierd trees. I've never seen anything quite like this in the mountains.
