  Stephen, taking large running steps down across the snowfield. 8-10 feet between steps was not uncommon.  Thompson Peak, viewed from the snowfield about 1/2 mile north.   Preparing for a rather steep and long slide down the snowfield.   First-hand view of a ~600 vertical foot slide down the mountain in around 20 seconds.  Gorgeous shot of what appeared to be a frozen stream. The icy blue was incredible!
